My name is Samuel Buadoo known as Boiii Sam, in the entertainment circle. Since childhood I have had a strong connection to music. At the age of 11 I forced my parents to get me a keyboard because I was always amazed at how my church pianist played and started taking piano lessons. My passion for playing piano was cut short when my tutor relocated. That didn’t down my spirit.
During my late primary school days I figured out my love for hip hop and hip life. It was only in 2011 that I recorded in the studio for the first time but before that it was just street freestyle and rhyming.
I was born in Tema where music comes naturally to those who have a passion for it. I used that opportunity and pursued music until SHS. I went to St Augustine’s and I was that Form 1 fresher who found his way on stage the first night of entertainment. I had a song titled “Pini So” that made waves in school for a while. I got a little attention from other western region schools and at that point I knew for sure I wanted to stick to music but that dream was cut short when I left AUGUSCO and moved to Minnesota in the United States of America. Well at least so I thought but God works in mysterious ways. I met Joe and Tirzah (my host parents) abroad. Joe is a music director and Tirzah is a music instructor so I was still surrounded by music. I got the best of knowledge in music from both of them and then moved to Phoenix, Arizona. Hope was lost out there because there was no one that could relate to my interest and style in music till I met some unique producers and artists like Donavin and Sam Opoku. Donavin inspired me to start making beats so I saved money and built up a little studio in my room and started exploring more.
One December I flew home to Ghana for Christmas break and two of my brothers, NK and Steve, both music geniuses, announced building a studio together with a team which included Nixxie and Sem. Halfway getting things done, fortunately Nixxie and Sem got signed to Mimlife while NK and Steve still continued the project and during that process that’s when I came into the picture.
NK is one of the best producers the world will come to know and I’m pumped for people to hear what we have coming out. A couple of my new music is out and also featured and produced by some Tema talents like Odehyie Yeyo, Kelvin Black of AMG, Elmo, Kwamena Marlow and Sam Opoku who’s based in Phoenix, Arizona. I also have work with Ssnowbeatz coming out soon. With no limit to a specific genre I hope people who hear my music are able to relate to the message and vibe with it as well.
Ghana and beyond should watch out for the Boiii Sam because I’m coming with fire that cannot be quenched.
